Only when the whole person is taken into account, not just the symptoms, can healing truly occur. It is my goal to provide such integrative healing with compassion, reassurance, and understanding. I seek not only to relieve my patients’ symptoms, but to genuinely improve the quality of their life in mind, body, and spirit.

I seek not only to relieve my patients’ symptoms, but to genuinely improve the quality of their life in mind, body, and spirit.
At the core of integrative and functional psychiatry is biochemical individuality. By evaluating and addressing all components---including medical conditions, dietary & nutritional deficiencies, lifestyle patterns, coping skills, psychological factors, medication effects & interactions, as well as genetic and metabolic differences--can truly personalized medicine become a reality.
We are at an exciting time in medicine, where innovative treatments are finally available to address people suffering with their mental health. By identifying root causes and taking into account the whole person, true healing can occur.

We are at an exciting time in medicine, where innovative treatments are finally available to address people suffering with their mental health. By identifying root causes and taking into account the whole person, true healing can occur.
By considering imbalances in a patient’s body, mind, and lifestyle, a more holistic approach is taken that leads to an empowering healing process. As a physician, my role is to establish a therapeutic partnership while guiding a return to health. While traditional medication management of symptoms can be a part of the treatment plan, medications alone will neither address nor treat all causes of psychiatric symptoms. Balanced mental wellness may be accomplished through a combination of psychotherapy, low-dose medications, nutritional interventions, functional medicine, supplements, exercise, and meditation and relaxation techniques.
I strive to incorporate spirituality into patients’ treatment while respecting individuals’ unique beliefs and values.
At the core of integrative psychiatry is the possibility of moving beyond unnecessary mental suffering and
reaching your potential.

Elizabeth Cordes Rose, DO is a psychiatrist who practices medicine and sees health in a different way than a lot of other doctors. After receiving her undergraduate degree with honors in Medical Ethics from the University of Oklahoma in 1994, she went on to complete her medical degree at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and residency in Psychiatry at Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma. She had a thriving private practice in Edmond, Oklahoma since 2002 prior to moving to Colorado in 2019 to join the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. Her long standing interest in Mind Body Medicine has prompted her to pursue extensive training in Integrative Medicine: becoming one of the first graduates of the inaugural NMWI Women’s Functional & Integrative Medicine Professional Training Program with Aviva Romm, MD, a member of the IPI-Integrative Psychiatry Fellowship class, as well as numerous programs with Andrew Weil, MD, James Gordon, MD, James Greenblatt, MD and others.
